Education

Professional – Over the last five years I have obtained a number of insurance industry specific designations via The Institutes which is a representation of the combined brands of the American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA).  The following is a list of those designations currently held:

  • Associate in Reinsurance (ARe)
  • Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
  • Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF)
  • Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC)
  • Associate in Insurance Services (AIS)

Academic – I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Puget Sound (UPS) in May of 2005.

During my time at UPS I was also a part of and completed the Pre-Med Program and graduated as a Coolidge Otis Chapman Honors Scholar.  As a requirement for the Honors Program, I completed and presented my Honors Senior Thesis entitled Institutional Failure: The Effect of File Sharing on the Music Market.

Training

In addition to my academic and professional education I have also received training in a number of varying areas.

I have received board training through Seattle Works and ArtsFund’s Board Leadership Training.

I have also received training and licenses as a bartender and fork lift operator.
